Marimar Estate Partnership
Our Complete Renovation
The name “Stav-rand,” in Norwegian (handed down as the family name of Emily’s late mother, whose own parents were innkeepers in Vermont in the early 1980s), conjures the image of a church (Stav) on a rand (hill) – or in the case of the hotel, an historic hillside estate that encourages contemplation in its own way. Additionally, it should be noted that Emily’s mom was a travel advisor who introduced her to four- and five-diamond properties across the country. Maribeth inspired Emily’s enduring love of hospitality.
Sustainability and Community Partnerships
The team at the Stavrand minimizes their ecological footprint while supporting the local community, on levels large and small.
